In need of coding expertise please.

Patient delivered baby at home via midwife. Ambulance transferred pt to hospital due to vaginal tear. Provider performed a repair of vaginal laceration and also wants to charge a post partum care in hospital. Can he also charge for an inpatient admission? Or what are the correct codes to utilize?:)
 
Hi,
Is the patient a patient of your practice? If so, bill for the antepartum care received. I would only bill for the postpartum care if the patient returned for her 6 week visit and you did not bill for the global package. Did the provider deliver the placenta (59414) or just repair the laceration (59300)? If he admitted her then I would look at the admit codes along with modifier 57 on the visit.
