Need to know what place of service code to use for patients who are not admitted to the hospital but stay just for observation??????:confused:
 
Check with the insurance carrier as to why the claim is rejected for invalid place of service. Some insurance carriers require observation codes to be billed with the place of service as ER. Good luck!
