Hi everyone,
I find services that cannot be reported together quite confusing. Fx, in CPT manual it says that;
"Do not report observation discharge in conjunction with a hospital admission."
My question is it this rule applies when the SAME DOCTOR do these two services on the same day? so he or she cannot report these two services together but what if one doctor does the observation discharge and the other doctor admits the patient to the hospital. Should we report these codes for each of the physicians?
