I'm trying to figure out if it's okay to code an observation discharge for one physician when another physician admits the patient as an inpatient.

For instance, the note says (the inpatient physician is not affiliated with the observation physician)-
Impression and Plan:
Unstable angina
Discharge plan

Admit: Time 07/30/13 12:40:00, To Inpatient Unit.
