I am hoping someone can direct me in the right direction. I have a patient that was placed in observation by an ER doctor that does not have admitting privileges but this was not discovered until AFTER the patient was discharged. can this visit still be billed out, if the doctor signs an order for observation the date after the patient is sent home ?
