Hi all,
I got my CDEO in June, after taking the aapc course. I passed on my first try. I've been working 5 years as an emergency medicine coder, looking to advance my career. I'm hoping for some tips. I am not experienced as a documentation specialist since I just got the certification. Do any employers want to hire someone who just has a certification and coding experience? If not, what kinds of things should I focus on doing, or learning, in order to grab an employer's attention? Also, I have searched a few times and I dont see many people hiring. Is there a better search term I could use? Thanks for the help!
