Good Morning,
I am reaching out to you all today for some advice on how to eliminate/reduce OCE 21 Edits for G0463. The OCE 21 Edit is for a "Medical visit on same day as a type T or S procedure without modifier 25 (significant separate E&M service)". Example would be an E/M and an xray. Our Heath System uses EPIC and currently have around 500 claim edits a day in total. There is a lot of charges that "bundle" over from the professional side for the E/Ms and that is where the edit comes into play. We are trying to streamline a process and eliminate some of these "easier" edits through automation.
Has anyone else encountered this issue/edit? Has anyone come up with a process to reduce the amounts of these edits?
