When counting the billable units for percutaneous tests, are the positive & negative controls counted?

Example: patient has scratch test of 5 different grasses + saline (neg) + histamine (pos).

95004 x 5? OR 95004 x 7?

Are there any published resources that address this? (The docs will want to know :) )

Thanks!

Jen,

It would be 7. It doesn't matter what the substance is. You are counting the actual scratches performed. Same for intradermals.
