When the Nurse Practitioner supervises the stress test portion of a nuclear stress test in the office but does not interpret the test may she split bill for the supervision?
She would like to receive credit for being in the office to supervise.
 
Yes, the NP should bill CPT code 93016 for the supervision. Whoever does the interpretation and report would bill 93018, and the office/facility would bill for the technical portion of the test with 93017.
