We have a pulmonologist that visits a rural clinic once a week that is connected to the hospital. On two occasions, a patient while inpatient at the hospital for separate conditions, has had an appointment scheduled and came for his appointment with this physician. Can this doctor bill for his services? If so, what place of service does he bill for?
