I have a question, I was hoping you could help me. A patient had a Knee Arthroscopy with debridement of lateral meniscal tear. The dr. found that this case could not be properly performed without an open arthrotomy to remove all parameniscal cysts. How should I bill for the Open Arthrotomy? Should it be included with the arthroscopy code?
