Good morning folks,
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
POST-OPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS: Right internal carotid stenosis
PROCEDURE:
Aborted transcarotid artery revascularization with stent **they only cannulated and shot angiogram**
Open right carotid interposition graft with harvested Right GSV
--carotid artery and the common carotid artery was cannulated
-- shot an angiogram it appeared that the common carotid artery had dissected
--decided to convert to an open
-- decided the patient would be best served by an interposition graft to take care of the common carotid dissection as well as the stenosis at
the internal carotid artery
--saphenous vein harvested for the interposition graft
-- common carotid artery was then transected proximally and distally the internal carotid artery was similarly transected.
--he saphenous vein was then reversed and sewn end to end
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
