I am looking for a comparison code for the above procedure. Per AAOS, when done in conjuction with an arthroscopic lateral release procedure, this is separately billable.https://www5.aaos.org/CustomTemplates/Content.aspx?id=22734 (see #9) I'm thinking either 27385 or 27422, but would love some input!

Here is a snippet from the procedure note:

Due to significant lateral overhang and tracking of the patella, a decision was made to proceed with a imbrication of the medial vastus retinaculum. A 2 cm incision was made over the medial portion of the patella. Imbrication was performed with nonabsorbable suture with improved tracking of the patella. Full range of motion was achieved. All bleeding was taken care of Bovie cautery prior to closure. The wounds were copiously irrigated prior to closure.

Thank you!

Katie

I believe CPT 27422 is what you want to use.
