Hope someone can help. We are aware that Medicare does not reimburse audiologists for cerumen removal. However, we have billed the technical component with the audiologist as referring and rendering and been reimbursed by Medicare. What is even more perplexing is the OPPS states that 69210 is "physician only"...does that indicate that we should be only billing the service if a physician provides it? Sorry, but this is very confusing!
