hi
patient seeing oral surgeon for removal of oral pyogenic granuloma. is there a medical CPT code for that or only dental code D7410?

Excision of lesions in the oral mucosa generally code in the CPT range 40810-40816, but of course it would be necessary to see the full procedure report to be able to know for sure what code, if any, would be correct for this.
thanks. what about biopsy oral tissue-soft? dental code is D7286

The CPT code for a biopsy in the vestibule of the mouth is 40808, and for the floor of the mouth is 41108. If you're going to be using CPT codes regularly, you really should invest in a current copy of the book so that you have access not just to the codes but all of the guidance and instructions on usage that is included. As I mentioned above, assigning a CPT code really requires access to the medical records. I wouldn't rely on codes just from a forum post like this when the complete medical record hasn't been reviewed.
