I don't run into this very often, but, I had a patient for screening colonoscopy that turned therapeutic, but he was also in the Global Period for an unrelated surgery. Do I put the PT for screening first, or the 24 for in global period first

24 doesn't apply to surgical procedures...................... hmmmmmmmmmmm. based on this info, using a random code.

your modifiers would would look like.................

45385.79.PT........................ Z12.11. D12.xx.... etc, etc.............

thanks. I guess I wasn't thinking about using 79 on this. But I appreciate the help

I saw the EOB, I did use 79 modifier.
Interesting, I ran this in EPIC. Tried it on a case with this scenario, the edit cleared with 79.PT....... If you did use 79 first, maybe flip. PT in first order then 79 to second, see if that makes a difference. I'm in California, so not sure if it's a state difference in how there processing these global scenarios. We get them to, here and there. And they get paid.
