I have a question for anyone out there. I have a patient in for an MRI and she is requesting the ordering physician NOT receive a copy of the report, we should send it to the physician she will be following up with instead. This is a WC, on the 10th day after the DOI. WC is saying they would go by CPT guidelines as to whether or not the ordering DR. gets a report. Can anyone lead me to documentation on the rules here??? thanks
