Hi everyone! I'm coding a "ORIF distal radius fracture malunion." Would this be 25400 (repair radius malunion) or 25607 (ORIF extra-articular radius fracture)? There are also no NCCI edits for these two codes, so could they theoretically be billed together?

Thanks :)

25400. There is no edit since 25400 is for a fracture which has already been treated (and gone on to mal-union) and 25607 is for a fracture that is currently being treated. But it would also be very rare to have a malunion and a current fracture on the same bone, but never say never.
