:confused:I have run into a situation at the outpatient clinic in our hospital, where a patient came in to see our Ortho Doc with a broken humerus. A closed reduction was done in the outpatient clinic, but at the same appointment it was also determined that this patient was most likely going to require surgery. She was referred to an Ortho doctor at a larger hospital as we do not have the means to do that extensive of an open reduction in our hospital. What CPT codes would I use? Just an E/M level? Can I charge for the closed reduction? He didn't put a cast on, the patient was splinted with a hanging arm splint.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!
