I really need some help. I want to make sure that I am coding correctly. When a patient has an internal fixation device implanted and/or screws, rods,etc., am I suppose to also code the HCPCS codes with these?:confused:
 
billing for implants

I have billed with code L8699 for instance when coding for cpt's 27690, 28285 and 28270 and I have gotten paid by the carrier. In this particular case was BCBS. I Hope this helps.
