I bill for an Urgent Care, we have a "new" Patient, who fell with possible Ankle FX, is it ok to bill E/M- wih mod 25 with X-Ray, splint-29515 and Fracture care code?

I wouldn't think an urgent care clinic would be providing follow-up care on a fracture for 90 days...did your doctor refer the patient to an orthopedic surgeon for follow-up?

When I was billing for an Urgent Care, we never billed the fracture care codes, just the cast/splint codes. The patients were then referred to a specialist for proper fracture care.
