Provider is billing an unlisted code 29999 for Athroscopic capsular release.
Other cpt codes billed are: 29821, 29823, 29826, 23331

Seems that the "Athroscopic capsular release" is included in 29826. Can anyone confirm this or can it be billed separetly?:confused:

I am not finding a 23331 ?
I have always charged 29822/29823 for capsular release, yes the 29826 would be included in that code as well as the 29821.
would need to read the op for more

23331 was replaced with new codes, please see the CPT book for the new codes. Also, the new codes that replaced 23331 are bundling per CCI - so I would check with commercial payors on this issue.
If that is all that was done, the correct coding is 29821, 29823, 29826.
