One of my ENT doctors assisted an orthopedic specialist in a procedure where they excised a single vertebral segment to remove a bony lesion (cpt code 22110). This procedure was done through a cervical/neck approach. My doctor did the approach while the orthopedic doctor did the excision. Is there a separate code we can use for the approach so the doctors can bill as co-surgeons or is the approach included?
