Wiki orthopedic regcognized subspecialties

Years ago, I was told that "hand" was the only other recognized orthopedic subspecialty. I have scoured CMS and the internet trying to find information otherwise. Have things changed? I would appreciate any answers I can get and/or where to go to find out this information.:confused:

Here is some additional information, sports medicine is new but not the only subspecialty recognized.

The AMA panel was asked whether the definition of a “subspecialty” should be based on
taxonomy codes or on the CMS provider specialty listing included in Chapter 26 §10.8.2 of the Medicare Claims Processing Manual. Taxonomy codes are provider self-designated and
additional specialties are recognized and have taxonomy codes that are not necessarily recognized by third party payers or state medical boards as a subspecialty.
