If the documentation only states Osteoarthritis of the Lumbar Vertebra, how would you code it in ICD-10?

Some of the staff would code to M47.816 and others would code to M47.896?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with M47.816. The code 721.3 in ICD 9 shows ICD-10 code category M47.81X as its equivalent.
