Hi,
Im looking for some help. Our general surgery department is starting a ostomy/wound care clinic. And the NP is looking for the best way to bill for her services. Some of these patients are within the 90 day post op period. When they come in she is spending anywhere from 30-45 mins teaching the family how to maintain and manage the ostomy and to care for the site. If they are in the 90 day post op period..is there no way to capture this at all??? I dont fully understand the 55 modifier (post op management)..hoping someone can give me so advice
