Currently one of our Pediatricians does rounds at the local NYC hospitals. Although he is out of network he keeps attending to GHI patients while there. As such I am having trouble getting the payments from the GHI members who recieve the payments at home and then neglect to send the payments, let alone the deductables, to the office. As a result I have a long list of delinquent accounts, threats of collections, and a lot of new parents yelling at me on the phone telling me that they will not pay the deductable as it is not their fault that the doctor is out of network. My case load is piling up and it takes a great deal of my time which can be better used pursuing other areas.
Does anyone have a solution that I might use as the doctor refuses to stop seeing these patients? Thank you for any help.
