Wiki outside consultation

Our Pathologist has a specimen that he would like a second opinion on.This was sent out as a consult 88321. We are told that we need to bill for this. However, the only work that we did was the evaluation of the surgical specimen gross and microscopic exam. Has anyone had this same situation and how did you handle this.

you would only bill for the work that your dr performed which is the gross/micro
the dr that perform the consult will bill for his own consult
