one doctor from our group sees the pt in office and sends him to the HOSP another one of OUR doc's does a consult in hosp. can both be billed?

SAME DATE OF SERVICE? I NEED DOCUMENT WHERE I CAN CLAIFY WITH DOCTORS CAN YOU HELP?

Thanks,

It looks like both your docs are in the same group/specialty, so you cannot bill for both services. Everything done on the calendar-day has to be compounded into one code (the admit code). I also question if it is really an inpt. consult since the patient is seen by your doc and sent to the hospital. That looks more like your doc (the second one) is admitting the patient after the first of your docs determined that the patient needs to be admitted. If it is a consult, who requested this? (And will get recommendations & report?)
