Diagnosis states - State lllC poorly differentiated ovarian carcinoma.

Can we code for this condition.

If I were given that dx, I would code it as C56.9. The provider documented a histological term (carcinoma) to describe the neoplasm. The instructional note in the ICD-10 coding manual has an instructional note to "See Neoplasm by site, malignant" and since the note doesn't state right or left ovary, I would select the unspecified site.
