I am crossing every finger and toe that someone else has already billed this procedure because I have searched far and wide and am coming up w nothing...

Since the new valve is being created from harvested pericardium, I'm leaning towards 33406 but does that code also take into account the work put into harvesting/prepping the tissue? The only tissue graft code that seems appropriate would be 20926. Would the unlisted cardiac code be more appropriate? So many questions, not so many options... 😏

Hello,

I'm coding for the Ozaki procedure for the first time. I'm leaning towards an unlisted code since 33406 is for an open AVR with allograft (a tissue graft from a donor…not genetically identical).

Any other suggestions?
