Hello everyone,

Question: If a patient is a mult trauma that has a surgery, can you bill for the subsequent visits that are not related to the surgery? Ex: Pt has mult fractures but has had ex lap for internal injuries. Do you code it as a P/O visit or as a round with mod 24 for the mult fractures?

Mahalo!!

Are you treating the fractures?

Is the general trauma surgeon treating the fractures? Or is Orthopaedics following those injuries?

I usually consider all these to be post-op care, 99024
