I have a physician's assistant who did a home visit for the first time on an existing patient to our practice. He was going to code 99212 with dx code 454.1. Not sure why the patient couldn't come to office. Should I code the 99212 and change the place of service or should I code 99347 since that is for a home visit? The patient is Medicare.
