I have a question about timing with some pacemaker check/interrogation codes. We have a patient that we billed for a remote pacemaker check (93294/93296) on 4/25/16, then the patient came into the office on 4/29/16 with high rate pacing and his pacemaker was adjusted. Our device technician is telling us to charge the patient for a 93280-26 even though we are in the 90 day period for the remote check that was done four days earlier. Is this something that we can bill for? I do not know where he got his information from, and I'm not having any luck with researching an answer for this.
