Can a CAH bill for PACU? I researched this earlier and saw where Kevin Shields responded in 2007 and said that we can't because that it was included in the procedure. Has this changed? Can you bill for it but without a CPT?
 
The charge would cover the nurses time monitoring the patient. I guess it is sort of like a room/ bed charge. I really don't think we can charge for it.
