Is there a code for a pain assessment test? The patient fills out a 4 page questionnaire at a visit with no physician contact, rating their pain prior to undergoing insertion of neurostimulator electrodes. The test is reviewed by the Pain Management Physcian and an interpretaion is used to determine if the patient is a candidate for the neurostimulator. Could this be coded with an unlisted code? Or is it part of the E&M visit? Thank you.
