Hello all,

Has anyone else billed for a nerve block injection for post-operative pain control...64415? I'm getting denied on this and was wondering if I can get guidance on how to appeal this.

Post operative pain management by the surgeon is included in the global surgical package and is not separately reimbursable.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply. The injection is being done by the anesthesiologist and it's being recorded on anesthesia sheet as well as the operative note that it's for post op pain control. I have read different forums that it can be billed and has to have modifier 59 appended to it so that it's not bundled but I'm still getting denials.
