I am new to Pain Management coding. I coded injections many years ago in an ASC and I know that things/rules have changed a lot.
Do you code the medication used? For example, if the op report says 'After raising a skin wheal with 1% lidocaine and anesthetizing the subcutaneous tissues.......', would you code for the lidocaine being used?
