Our hospital was coding and separately billing for 93236 (ECG monitoring and real-time data analysis with report ) for patients admitted to med-surg and placed on telemetry. Now that this code has been deleted, does anyone know what the revised/appropriate code is? In our review...we do not see an acceptable code for this service??? We are thinking that telemetry is now inclusive of the hospital/facility charge.
I appreciate anyone's advice/recommendation.
