I'm very frustrated and wondering if I'm missing something. Thoughts and comments from others are very much appreciated.
Claim was filed to HLK with the following CPT lab tests:
80053 CMP
83036 Hemoglobin
82043 Urine Microalbumin
82570 Creatine
84550 Uric Acid
85025 CBC
HLK processed Hemoglobin, Urine Microalbumin, and Creatine. They did not process 80053, 85025. pr 84550 and have stated that their examiner reviewed the claim and a panel code exists for cmp, cbc, and uric acid. We have adamantly stated that no such panel code exists-that perhaps they are confused with the general health panel which requires 84443 not 84550. At this point, they have basically informed us that the examiner has reviewed and a panel exists-they can't tell us what it is-and bascially we are out of luck. I'm beyond frustrated at this point. Has anyone had similar problems or am I truly just missing something in the billing?
