I have a scenario which I would like some opinions on. If a physician removed 3 calluses from a patient's hand would this be coded as a 11056? My first thought is that the 11056 should be coded separate because of the number of calluses removed and this is not an add on code. Then I have another opinion that the 11055 should be coded for the first callus, then 11056 for the second and third. Maybe I am thinking this too hard..we coders tend to do that. I am open to all opinions. Thank you.

Thank you Lisa! I do wish I could stop second guessing myself and over thinking things.
