I have a doctor who lists the dx for both ingrown nail and paronychia on the same toe which he treats it by removing the nail. Can someone tell me if paronychia a symptom of by the ingrown nail, or is the ingrown nail a result of the paronychia? Would you code both?

Haven't been able to confirm one way or the other by online research.
