I am trying to code an E/M visit during which a partial tarrsoraphy severing was performed. Is a partial severing billable using 67710? Or,because it was not a complete severing, is it considered part of the E/M?

So, the reason the patient came in was follow-up of the original procedure, or for a different problem altogether? If simply to follow-up, then was it in the global period? A little more detail would help clarify.

The patient is being seen for a follow up of a nerve palsy, not the original procedure. The partial severing was decided on at the visit
. Definitely out of the global period by a number of months.
