We are a PA based GI group who owns our own pathology lab. For years we have been billing our pathology to Medicare (Novitas) with no problems. All of a sudden we are seeing denials (and request for money back) from Novitas. They are saying that we should be billing Medicare Part A. We are appealing each of these decisions/requests. We are not hospital owned, our patients are not in any sort of facility or under hospice care. Has anyone had any similar problems?
