Is there a code for a Pathologist, who supervises a lab tech? Pathologist is self employed, and supervises Hospital lab tech.
 
What you are looking for is call Clinical Lab Professional Component Billing. You add a modifier 26 to the same lab cpt codes the hospital bills out. There is much more to it though. Google it and if you still have questions you can email me at tomtom2fl@gmail.com
