Wiki Patient request for additional (different brand) Covid vaccine

Has anyone had patients asking to get additional Covid vaccine doses of either Pfizer or Mederna after getting Johnson & Johnson? Is there any information on reimbursement for this? We are wondering if Carriers would cover the additional vaccine. We have patients asking for additional vaccine because of information that the J&J is not as effective.

Is your physician actually considering fulfilling these requests? Until the Surgeon General or the CDC recommends it, I would just tell them no.

They have just inquired as to if there has been any info out about this yet. They know it's not recommended by the CDC. Just being proactive, I believe.
