I am new at cardiac procedures. Can you guys check me please?

Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty and stent of the left anterior descending.
92928?

Also, can i bill for sedation as well and discharge the next day?

Thanks!

Can you give any additional information on this i could give a more accurate answer. But it is appropriate to code a diagnostic cath with a stent. If the stent is unrelated to a stemi Dx then 92928 would be appropriate with the directional modifier, if the cath is diagnositc then you would code the cath with a modifier. If the Dx is related to a stemi then you would use 92941 with a directional modifier as your stent code. make sure to read the guidelines of your CPT in that category to be clear you are billing correctly. hope this helps :)

Sorry, the hospital with the documentation didn’t let me copy and paste.

Yes! That was extremely helpful! Thanks so much. I have to really just start going over my CPT book and getting to know the codes. I know that many are inclusive of the previous code. Thanks again!
