Our provider is looking in to possibly providing our asthma patients with peak flow meters to assess their asthma. Has anyone had experience billing these in a PCP setting? I know the code would be A4614 for the device itself. From the research I've done, the interpretation/reading would be included in any E/M service. Any insight would be appreciated.

yes peak flow interpretation/reading is included in any E/M service... if done without E/M service with my research I have read there is no exact CPT code but some suggest using 94150. I have also seen billing 94200 for peak flow when reading is done during allergen immunotherapy. I am not sure which would be correct.
