I am taking over coding auditing and education for pediatric cardiology. I am curious which AAPC cardiology certification will be best to cover this subspeciality. The CCC or the CCVTC? Thanks.

Hello

It depends if the pediatric cardiologist will be doing surgery or general cardiac care. Our physician does not perform surgeries but performs echocardiograms, holter and event monitors, other diagnostic tests and will refer his patients to a pediatric surgeon when needed. CCC is sufficient for his coding.

Thanks. My cardiologists are surgeons.
