New coder need help!! Hey guys i want to know if anyone can help me with this scenario. We are a medicaid provider and we see patients who just come for referrals to specialist. This pt. Has come to see our dr. To get a referral to an audiologist to get ear plugs. The child already has pe tubes. Should our dr. Be able to bill for this and if so what icd 9 code would i use. I found v68.81 but i'm not sure if thats right. Thanks
